The heart of the salt industry
The Araltuz plant, located in the village of Zhaksykylysh, Aral District, Kyzylorda Region, is the largest salt mining and processing enterprise in Kazakhstan and one of the industry leaders in Central Asia. Here, for more than a century, the unique natural resources of the Aral salt lakes have been combined with modern technologies, making it possible to produce high-quality products.
An eco-friendly and modern extraction method
The salt extraction process begins on the salt lakes, where dense layers of pure crystals form during the warm season. Milling harvesters carefully cut the top layer up to 10 centimeters thick without disrupting the natural balance. This gentle method allows returning to the same areas every year: over the year, the lakes naturally restore their salt cover.
Full production cycle
After extraction, salt is delivered to the plant, where it goes through several processing stages: washing, drying, crushing and sorting. Then the product is packed into various types of packaging—from small retail packs and tubes to large wholesale bags and briquettes for industry and agriculture. Each stage is monitored by a modern laboratory, which guarantees high quality and compliance with international standards.
Logistics
Thanks to the plant’s capacities and well-established logistics, Araltuz ensures stable supplies of edible, technical, industrial, cosmetic and feed salt throughout Kazakhstan and to nearby and far-abroad countries.
