Innovations in the depths: JSC «Araltuz» introduces milling extraction for sustainable production

The Araltuz company, located in the village of Zhaksikylysh in the Aral District of the Kyzylorda Region, is entering a new stage of development by introducing an innovative milling technology for salt extraction. Kazakhstan’s largest salt mining enterprise and one of the industry leaders in Central Asia is taking a serious technological step forward, moving from traditional methods to more efficient, eco-friendly and modern solutions.

Milling extraction technology allows carefully cutting the top layer of the salt bed up to 10 centimeters thick while preserving the natural balance of the salt lakes. This gentle method eliminates deep interference with the lake structure and ensures its natural recovery: during the season the salt cover forms again, making extraction fully renewable and cyclical.

The use of milling harvesters increases the stability of raw material quality, boosts productivity and significantly reduces environmental impact. The transition to this method became a key element of Araltuz’s modernization strategy and strengthening of its position in the regional market.

After extraction, the salt goes to the plant where it undergoes the traditional processing stages — washing, drying, crushing, sorting and packaging. Quality control is ensured by the company’s own laboratory, guaranteeing compliance with international standards.

By switching to milling technology, the company strengthens the sustainability of its production cycle and expands supply capabilities for edible, technical, industrial, cosmetic and feed salt both across Kazakhstan and to nearby and far-abroad countries.
